As LEDs become a bigger part of design how do design with them. How are they different than traditional gels? How does color impact the set and costumes more than ever now? This session will cover how we perceive color, and how new technology is changing how we think about color.
Nick Saiki is a Field Project Coordinator for ETC. He trains end users, supports sales, and arranges and conducts multiple presentations with customers, representatives and dealers throughout the western region. Nick received his B.A. from the University of California, Irvine. He attended The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) and was awarded his M.F.A. in Lighting Design and Technology in 2017. During graduate school, he spent six months at ETC in the Systems Group as a Project Management intern. Prior to joining ETC, he programmed, designed, and drafted for over 200 concerts, conventions, live events, theme parks and festivals as a freelance designer/drafter/programmer/electrician.
