In this workshop students will learn about the responsibilities of their wardrobe and wig crews to help them better understand what sort of support will be generally provided for them, and what they should expect to provide for themselves. This will include proper wig prep and care, costume fitting etiquette, laundry and costume care, a walkthrough of a basic makeup kit, and how to troubleshoot and communicate with crew members from these departments.

Jay Kuhns is a professional jack of all trades, working regularly as a wardrobe supervisor, dresser, wig technician, and makeup artist throughout Southern California. They have a background in performance and enjoy marrying their love of all things on stage and all things backstage - both when they are directing, and by teaching young actors the basics of wardrobe, wigs, and makeup.
